👁️🗨️ About Beril Yabar
I was born in Istanbul, but I found my voice across oceans.
I am a poet, educator, mother, storyteller, and soul alchemist. My work bridges the mysticism of the East with the raw reinvention of the West. I write in both Turkish and English — often at the same time — because my truths are bilingual, like my journey.
🌍 My Poetry
Poetry is how I breathe.
It’s how I survived divorce, motherhood, immigration, silence.
It’s how I recorded love, loss, rage, and rebirth.
My books — Ink of the Rebel, Awakening the Soul, One Last Week — are not just collections. They are living archives of a woman becoming.
✨ Why I Write
To remind others (and myself) that we are allowed to reinvent.
That grief can be a gateway.
That womanhood holds power.
That silence has a sound.
I believe in the power of poetic living.
I believe the feminine voice is a flame that never dies.
And I believe we’re all here to awaken each other.
